At MSCI we encourage and support community involvement through global and local initiatives. We empower teams at all our office locations to identify and support organizations that have positively impacted their communities. Recently, two employee-led initiatives have emerged, driven by our shared passion to create a positive impact.

Starting in April, our Workplace Technology team organized the donation of 400 laptops across the globe. Originally intended as emergency devices, these laptops were no longer needed, so the team coordinated with local colleagues in New York, Mumbai, Budapest, Monterrey and Manila to identify schools and NGO’s that benefitted the most from the donations. Going forward, these laptops will help in advancing digital literacy among children in underprivileged communities, as well as providing access to disadvantaged groups. It’s an incredible way to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals with the tools they need to thrive.

In 2022 MSCI’s Black Leadership Network partnered with Genesis Impact for the first time, leveraging their professional expertise to offer mentorship to high-achieving B.A.M.E. students. Building on the success of that initiative, they have launched the Acclivity Youth Mentorship Program for the second time this year. This 8-month program is designed to prepare mentees for a successful professional career. Through mentorship and guidance, they will equip the program participants with the the hard-gained soft skills that are not provided within the realms of formal education. In addition, they will have the opportunity to develop networking cross-cultural skills while honoring their authentic selves and learning more about different industries, including the dynamic world of capital markets.

We are immensely proud of our employees’ commitment to making a difference and driving positive change.
